In my recent Meetup group get together we discussed how to have a happy and fulfilling holiday season despite the challenges that face singles. I appreciated their candid responses and insights. I also shared my feelings and gave my relationship advice about when I was single at this time of year.
Let me see if you can relate to this. You meet someone you are very much attracted to. You try and get their attention. You may have even succeeded in going out with them (you did the asking) and yet, there is no reciprocal action. He or she is happy to accept your invitations. However, they are not calling you. It is not reciprocal.
One of my favorite holidays is Halloween. Not for the scary costumes and the macabre, but for the ability to be creative and interact with people in a fun and relaxed way. One of my tips for dating is to find a Halloween party

First, you have to find a costume. For women, I recommend a cute and sexy costume that attracts and is playful. A cute red devil or a black cat is always a crowd pleaser. My dating tip for men is to find a masculine, hunky costume such as a super hero (you can show your muscles in your captain America or Spiderman costume) or a debonair Count Dracula with his dramatic cape.
