Dating takes a lot of resolve.
You need to keep a positive attitude about yourself and have a belief that it is going to happen for you.
Just like my client Nancy. She was in her late 30’s when she started coaching with me. She was a goal-oriented woman who was very accomplished in her career. However, dating was not easy for her. There were many times that she was ready to give up. She met a man who seemed like he was motivated. After 6 months in that relationship, it started to fall apart because he was not thinking like a “we” and only about his needs.
Nancy was devastated. The breakup was in November 2014. I admire Nancy because she continued with the coaching (She was clear that this was her top goal in her life). We got her back online on January 1 and she connected with a man who would be her husband. He was also MOTIVATED! He was also looking for a marriage partner and they went through the dating hurdles towards engagement in April. They got married in August.
Do you think this can’t happen? What’s the difference between Nancy and you? A strong belief that it is possible and that it will happen.
When I was in my early 40s, I knew that I would get married again. There was no doubt. It was only a matter of when. I even hired a coach when I was 40 because I was Motivate to Marry again, and very much wanted a marriage partner and a child. Coaching was instrumental in helping me shift my perspectives and be open to dating men I was being too judgmental about.
