Valentine’s Day Survival Guide for Singles- Part I

We are less than a week away from one of the most dreaded holidays for singles – especially for those not in a relationship and those who are dating and not yet in a committed relationship.

In the next few days I hope to give you a couple of tips for dating and making the most of this LOVE focused holiday.    We can make the most of it by thinking of it as a time to express how much we care about one another – be it a friend, a parent, a child, or a close relative.

With a little planning, you can actually make Valentine’s Day a happy and fulfilling holiday or you can decide to ignore it all together (It’s only another Monday!)

My first strategy is just to share the evening with your close friends.  You can have a dinner party, go out bowling, treat yourselves to dinner and a movie, find a happy hour at a bar that you know you like the crowd or go dancing at a club.  There are singles events that you may want to attend.  One of my tips for dating is here you know the people are truly available since those who are kind of in a relationship would most likely be with that person they have been dating.

Another one of my tips for dating is if you live in the DC area, you can subscribe to my weekly calendar of events for singles at http://www.DCDatingInfo.com and see what’s going on for this Weekend or Valentine’s Day itself.

In my next blog post, I will give you other strategies to survive Valentine’s Day as a single person.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?  Have you made your plans already?

This inquiring coach would like to know!  So please leave a comment.

Intentionally yours,

Coach Amy
