If you have been reading my blog, you know that I don\u2019t subscribe to sitting back and waiting for Mr. or Ms. to just fall out of the sky and into your lap! I believe in being proactive and taking action to finding your true love.<\/p>\n
You also know that I am a practical thinker, however, I can cross over into the woo woo universe too.\u00a0 I do believe in the attraction principle where if you put out the right information (and vibes) you will attract the right person to you.<\/p>\n
So how about creating your own Meetup Group?\u00a0 Here you get to define who you want to attract, set the rules and wait to see who the universe brings to your group.\u00a0 You can set the age range, the location, the time the group meets, and the kind of activities the group offers.\u00a0 You get to create your very own mate attraction site!<\/p>\n
As I mentioned, Meetup.com is when Facebook meets Evite!\u00a0 \u00a0It also promotes to other people looking for groups in your area of interest.<\/p>\n
For instance, I had a male client who was looking for single women, 55 to 65 years old who were Christians looking for a serious relationship in Rockville, MD.\u00a0 I encouraged him to start a Meetup group.\u00a0 He\u2019s a dancer so he set the Meetup to have some dance activities as well as<\/p>\n
You don\u2019t need a large group, just an active one.\u00a0 So if you have fifty members who showed up regularly, that could be okay.\u00a0 Of course you would encourage people to bring their friends. \u00a0You can even charge them a small membership fee to defray your monthly fee.<\/p>\n
The benefit of being an organizer of a Meetup group is that you get to know everyone and everyone gets to know you.\u00a0 You become sort of a celebrity.<\/p>\n
You can start engaging with someone you want to get to know better.\u00a0 You can ask them to help you out with an event or even host an event for you.\u00a0 You will build relationships.<\/p>\n
Yes, it does take time and a commitment to start a Meetup group.\u00a0 There is a small monthly fee to have a Meetup.\u00a0\u00a0 However, anything worthwhile does take your time, energy and some financial resources.<\/p>\n
