{"id":206,"date":"2011-01-10T08:54:18","date_gmt":"2011-01-10T12:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/motivatedtomarry.com\/stage\/?p=206"},"modified":"2011-01-10T08:55:43","modified_gmt":"2011-01-10T12:55:43","slug":"dating-advice-for-finding-quality-people-to-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/motivatedtomarry.com\/stage\/dating-advice-for-finding-quality-people-to-date\/","title":{"rendered":"Dating advice for finding quality people to date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My dating advice to you is to ask yourself this question, \u201cWhere have I been going to meet people and has it been the right place to meet quality people to date?\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s a good time to evaluate where you are going to meet people for dating.\u00a0 Are you being intentional or haphazard?<\/p>\n<p>Haphazard dating is just going to a particular venue because your friends are going or showing up to a random bar.\u00a0 (It\u2019s different if a whole group of friends are going to the bar- where people know each other).\u00a0 You have no idea who you will be meeting.<\/p>\n<p>My advice to you is to be intentional in your dating by taking your values, interests and life goals and going places to meet people who share those with you.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say you have a strong value around giving back to your community.\u00a0 Then joining groups that do community service \u2013 especially those who attract singles would be a good place for you to go.\u00a0 In DC we have single volunteers.\u00a0 Many churches and synagogues have volunteer groups, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say you are a vegetarian and you have strong feelings about animals and animal rights.\u00a0 Then, you would seek out groups where you would meet others who share this value.\u00a0 One of my clients met someone doing just that.\u00a0 She had to show up to the group several times and get to know people.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t the first time she showed up that she connected with her boyfriend, but after another event they had a chance to talk further and he then had the chance to ask her out.<\/p>\n<p>Are you willing to evaluate what you have been doing to meet people and see how that is working for you?\u00a0 My dating advice is if you haven\u2019t met the right kind of people for dating, ask yourself, \u201cWhat needs to change this year?\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My dating advice to you is to ask yourself this question, \u201cWhere have I been going to meet people and has it been the right place to meet quality people to date?\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s a good time to evaluate where you are going to meet people for dating.\u00a0 Are you being intentional or haphazard?
