{"id":184,"date":"2010-12-18T06:39:45","date_gmt":"2010-12-18T10:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/motivatedtomarry.com\/stage\/?p=184"},"modified":"2010-12-18T06:39:45","modified_gmt":"2010-12-18T10:39:45","slug":"tips-for-dating-in-the-new-year-learning-from-your-past-dating-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/motivatedtomarry.com\/stage\/tips-for-dating-in-the-new-year-learning-from-your-past-dating-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Tips for Dating in the New Year: Learning From Your Past Dating History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The countdown is on for New Year\u2019s Eve, which means that 2011 is soon upon us.\u00a0 Many of us spend some time at the end of every year to reflect on our lives and make resolutions for the New Year.\u00a0 One of my tips for dating in 2011 is for you to learn from your past dating history so that you can move forward with your current dating life.<\/p>\n<p>Think about the past year and consider your dating and relationship experiences.\u00a0 Then make a list of what did not work out for you.\u00a0 Whether you joined a dating site that didn\u2019t yield results you had hoped or had a relationship that did not move forward, you can learn a lot from the past year\u2019s failures. One of my key tips for dating in 2011 is to take some time to think about why these things did not work for you and make adjustments in considering who would be a good partner for you.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you picked a dating site that doesn\u2019t work for you even though it is the popular one that several of your friends referred, rather than the one that is more geared toward your goals and interests. Or you may want to reevaluate what groups you have attending to meet people and if it is worth your time.\u00a0 Perhaps you found that in your most recent relationship there were misaligned goals or miscommunication on your relative \u201cmust haves.\u201d\u00a0 Whatever the case, determining WHY such things did not work out for you will help you to move forward and to make better choices in the New Year.<\/p>\n<p>Once you determine where you\u2019ve been, you will have a better idea of where you want to be and, quite possibly, how to get there.
