It’s always great to get recognition and a little publicity about your work.\u00a0 On September 24th an article about dating coaches in the DC area was published on the front page of the Washington Post.\u00a0 To read the article go to: http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/09\/23\/AR2008092303669.html?hpid=topnews<\/a><\/p>\n

So the good news is the mention of my client who was successful at 40 years old meeting and marrying a wonderful person.\u00a0 Yes, they had their picture in the paper of the happy couple.\u00a0 I don’t quite understand how my clients who share their story always seem to get their picture in the paper and not their illustrious coach!<\/p>\n

How my story was portrayed was not quite accurate.\u00a0 As a certified coach (and I was the only certified life coach in the article who had any coach training) I do not give relationship advice to my clients on important decisions like who they should marry.\u00a0 The coaching methodology is one that helps the client come to their own conclusions.\u00a0 By working on his values, life goals and non-negotiables, he realized his girlfriend had the qualites he was looking for in a mate.\u00a0 And he was very attracted to her, as well.\u00a0 That sounds like a winning combination to me!\u00a0<\/p>\n

I view my clients as resourceful and creative.\u00a0 They make their own decisions.\u00a0 I just give them the tools to help them make the best decisions possible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I am grateful for the mention in the Post.\u00a0 It does show that I am viewed as a top coach in the DC area.\u00a0 My record speaks for itself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I just attended a wedding of a male 40-something widowed client who worked with me for about six months a couple of years ago.\u00a0 He was in a love relationship with a woman that I will call an “almost” relationship.\u00a0 Through the coaching he came to the conclusion that this love relationship was not serving him for the long run and he ended up leaving the relationship during our coaching work together.\u00a0 From me he got the tools, tips and the direction he needed to go out on his own and meet his bride to be.\u00a0 He met his new bride on eHarmony.\u00a0 I helped him with his internet essays and suggested he get a new picture that showed him to be more attractive.\u00a0<\/p>\n
