The Holiday Season can be a stressful time for singles.\u00a0 There is an air of festivity, but also often an expectation that \u201cloved ones\u201d should include a significant other.\u00a0\u00a0 That can create the need to scramble and find someone to be with for the holidays.\u00a0 However, my relationship advice for single people is to avoid falling into what I call a \u201cconvenient relationship\u201d.<\/p>\n
Convenient relationships are easy traps for people who don\u2019t want to be alone during the holidays.\u00a0 However, once the turkey is eaten and the ball has dropped, you\u2019ll often find yourself single once again as these relationships do not last for the long term.\u00a0 My relationship advice for you is to avoid convenient relationships at all costs: try to enjoy being single instead during the Holidays!\u00a0 Get out there, take care of yourself, do the things that you enjoy doing and be with the people who truly love you.<\/p>\n
If you are an athlete or just someone who enjoys exercise, allow yourself plenty of time to workout during the Holiday months ahead.\u00a0 If you enjoy being pampered, treat yourself to that spa day you\u2019ve been wanting for a long time.\u00a0 Also find other singles with whom to celebrate the season, as well as, spending time with friends and family members who make you feel good about yourself.<\/p>\n
Therefore, my relationship advice for singles during this time of year is to keep the spirit of the season in mind.\u00a0 Rather than focusing on what you don\u2019t have or settling for less than what you want and deserve, be appreciative and grateful for what you do have.\u00a0 If you can hold on to that, the Holidays can be an enjoyable time for you.\u00a0 And who knows, you may just find that special person this season!<\/p>\n
