Can you create your own mate attraction group?

If you have been reading my blog, you know that I don’t subscribe to sitting back and waiting for Mr. or Ms. to just fall out of the sky and into your lap! I believe in being proactive and taking action to finding your true love.

You also know that I am a practical thinker, however, I can cross over into the woo woo universe too.  I do believe in the attraction principle where if you put out the right information (and vibes) you will attract the right person to you.

So how about creating your own Meetup Group?  Here you get to define who you want to attract, set the rules and wait to see who the universe brings to your group.  You can set the age range, the location, the time the group meets, and the kind of activities the group offers.  You get to create your very own mate attraction site!

As I mentioned, Meetup.com is when Facebook meets Evite!   It also promotes to other people looking for groups in your area of interest.

For instance, I had a male client who was looking for single women, 55 to 65 years old who were Christians looking for a serious relationship in Rockville, MD.  I encouraged him to start a Meetup group.  He’s a dancer so he set the Meetup to have some dance activities as well as

You don’t need a large group, just an active one.  So if you have fifty members who showed up regularly, that could be okay.  Of course you would encourage people to bring their friends.  You can even charge them a small membership fee to defray your monthly fee.

The benefit of being an organizer of a Meetup group is that you get to know everyone and everyone gets to know you.  You become sort of a celebrity.

You can start engaging with someone you want to get to know better.  You can ask them to help you out with an event or even host an event for you.  You will build relationships.

Yes, it does take time and a commitment to start a Meetup group.  There is a small monthly fee to have a Meetup.   However, anything worthwhile does take your time, energy and some financial resources.

How can you think out of the box and create a way to attract your ideal mate?   People are attracted to people with energy and creativity.
