This past August I have had many conversations with my clients, potential clients and those from which I had given a talk. What I hear again and again is that singles will be going back to online dating in September.
Even my divorced gal pal just signed up for online dating site – her first time in a while to see who is out there. People were out and about this summer, traveling, spending time with their kids, and now that everyone is back in school, it’s time to think about finding true love again.
Yes, typically after New Years is the busiest time a year for online dating, however, I do believe after Labor Day is the second busiest time. The fall/winter holidays are looming and the thought of not having someone special to be with is very upsetting to many. So people who are interested in a targeted way to meet people for dating and don’t have time to wade through attractive, fun and UN-MOTIVATED people are getting back to online dating.
When I surveyed my community, I got over a 150 responses. 90% said they tried online dating. Of course, many of those people felt frustrated with the process as well. Online dating and offline dating (meeting face to face at social events and activities) takes perseverance.
